We are now Georgia Health Sciences University.

The Expert Preceptor Designationteaching

The Expert Preceptor designation is available to Georgia physicians who have provided training to a health professions student.  The Designation is earned upon completion of six modules.  Those who earn the designation will be able to register for no-cost ICD-10 training beginning February 2012.  Six sessions will be offered during 2012.  Staff members in the Expert Preceptor's immediate practice location are eligible for the no-cost training as well.

There is no deadline for completion of the modules.  However, those who do so by February 2012 (or their designated staff) will be able to participate in the live ICD-10 training sessions and have question and answer sessions with our instructor.  Those who receive the designation after February 2012 will be able to watch some or all of the sessions in archived form, depending on when you receive your designation.

Continuing Education Credit

Each module takes approximately one hour to complete.  A registration form must be returned via fax to the Statewide AHEC Network (706-721-8508) after each module is completed.  A web-based survey and post-test must also be completed after each module.

Once we have verified that all materials have been completed/returned, you will receive your CE credit from the Georgia Regents University Division of Continuing Education.
