Your treatment may be too complex or time-consuming for a dental student. When this happens you may be offered the opportunity to be treated by a resident (graduate dentist in a specialty training program). Residents provide care under the supervision of experienced and licensed clinical faculty. The fees for treatment by a resident are higher than those charged in the student clinic, but less than you might expect to pay elsewhere. The care provided by a resident will generally take less time than with our dental students. The postgraduate programs of the College of Dental Medicine are designed to train dentists in seven fields. Treatment is available in the following specialty areas:
| Endodontics Root Canal Therapy Program Director Franklin Tay, BDSc, PHD (706) 721-2151 |
