Central Regional Dental Testing Services (CRDTS) Board Examination

Outside candidates are encouraged to utilize the Organizing for the CRDTS Examination course in preparation for the CRDTS exam.

Please visit the CRDTS Frequently Asked Questions page for more information regarding CRDTS requirements and policies. The Central Regional Dental Testing Service, Inc. (CRDTS) is a testing service made up of fifteen State Boards of Dentistry who have joined forces to develop and administer fair, valid and reliable examinations of competency to practice dentistry and dental hygiene.

Fees

Candidates wishing to take the CRDTS exam at Georgia Regents University (GRU) are required to pay a facility fee above the fee charged by CRDTS. These fees are due to GRU prior to the scheduled exam date.

Current facility fees are:
DENTIST - $480.00
DENTAL HYGIENE - $150.00

Patient Availability

GRU does not have a broad patient pool and does not allow applicants access to patient records. It is the responsibility of each candidate to provide their own patients.  Securing back-up patients is strongly advised.  The candidate must make arrangements for their patients to receive follow-up care if treatment during the exam is unsatisfactory.

All questions regarding eligibility of patient and/or types of patients must be answered through the Central Regional Dental Testing Service, Inc. (CRDTS) at 1-800-370-0380.

Material and Instrument Availability

GRU provides many of the supplies and kits required for the CRDTS exam including Restorative Instrument Kits, Perio and Pros Supplies. A complete list of materials is available.

Instruments are available for rent. The cost is the same for renting one or more instruments. Cavitrons are not available for rental.

Facility Availability

Potential dental and dental hygiene candidates are invited to visit GRU to become acquainted with our facilities. The clinical facilities will be available for inspection by prior appointment only on Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 4:00pm.
