Child Care Center
GHSU operates a child care center for children six weeks to four years of age for GHSU faculty, staff and students. During special times such as summer vacation and holidays, space may be available for children up to twelve years of age.
Location: 601 Old Bailie Street. The hours of operation are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call the Child Care Center at 721-4171 for more information.
Employee Advisory Council
The Employee Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the President on issues that affect classified employees as a whole and about matters that affect the general welfare of all employees of GHSU. The Council acts to facilitate communication among employees and the President of GHSU and acts as a liaison between the GHSU employees, the employees of other University System of Georgia institutions, and the University System of Georgia Staff Council. The Council does not serve as a substitute for the formal grievance process of GHSU and has no operational responsibility.
Employee Faculty Assistance Program (EFAP)
GHSU provides an on-campus assessment and counseling program for employees, faculty, house staff, graduate students and for the immediate members of their family. The program is confidential for clinical information of those who attend. The EFAP focuses on problems of either a personal or a work-related nature. Assessments are provided and, where indicated, short-term therapy may be scheduled for up to five sessions at no cost to the employee/faculty. For persons/families requiring extended counseling or more specialized therapy, the program can arrange continuing care by an appropriate local practitioner or agency. In addition, EFAP staff is available to consult with supervisors on how to better recognize and work with employees who are experiencing difficulties of various kinds. Location: Campus Bldg. Food
Fat Man’s Too: is the Student Center’s food service vendor. They offer both onsite and catering service. The catering service can accommodate any size, theme, day, time or menu. Customers can order by e-mail at fatmanstoo@georgiahealth.edu or by calling ext. 1-3280. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Library
The Greenblatt Library provides resources and services for the health information needs of the faculty, staff and students of the Georgia Health Sciences University and MCGHealth, and serves as a source of health information for the state of Georgia. Student Center Bookstore: The Bookstore offers a wide variety of items for sale, in addition to textbooks and supplies. Educational pricing available on computer software and computer accessories; clothing; diploma frames; gift collection (GHSU logo). Located across from the College of Dental Medicine with hours of operation: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Ferns and Fossils Gift Store: Inside Children’s Medical Center – 1st floor. Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday noon – 5 p.m.
Little Store: 2nd floor of Medical Center, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The central theme of the GHSU EXPRESS CARD program is that your photo ID card, when properly activated and encoded, serves a number of functions and eliminates the need to carry cash or exact change for purchases at campus locations that include the: GHSU Bookstore, Fat Man's Too (Student Center food service), Student Health, Library, Terrace Dining Room (hospital dining facilities), CMC McDonalds, campus print labs, and select vending and copier machines. Initial account set up is done in person. Once activated, all account features may be accessed online. Office located at Student Center: (located across from the College of Dental Medicine) Hours of Operation: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Shuttle:

GHSU provides a "Campus Shuttle Bus Service" between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday (except weekends and holidays) to all employees and students of GHSU and GHSU Health, Inc. community with visible campus identification badges.
TIP: You can catch the shuttle, eat at either the Student Center or the Hospital and not lose your parking space.

Walking
There are sidewalks throughout the campus and around the outskirts of the campus. Public Safety maintains patrol throughout the area and there are phones located all through campus that ring directly to the GHSU Public Safety Dispatcher.
