Welcome to Augusta, GA
The Local Arrangements Committee and the Program Committee would like to extend a warm invitation to this year’s annual meeting in Augusta, Georgia. The meeting will be held right on the banks of the Savannah River in downtown Augusta at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
Many may recognize Augusta as being the home of the annual Masters golf tournament. What may come as a surprise, though, is that Augusta is a lady of many facets: she is rich in history; she glories in music – from soul to jazz to country (Lady Antebellum!); she welcomes the arts; she covets her gorgeous flora and fauna; and she offers up that famous Southern gentility and hospitality familiar to many in this chapter. Without a doubt, you will find Augusta to be inviting and enchanting.
The meeting’s events and programs will center around our theme of “The Links.” Interpret this theme as you will; whether golf comes to mind or networking with colleagues, there will be something for you! Our speakers are nationally known, our papers and posters and Linking, Learning, Lunching will be invaluable, and our social events promise to be fantastic.
Make plans to link up with us in October for the Southern Chapter annual meeting. We’ll see ya’ll then!
