Beta Omicron Chapter - Sigma Theta Tau International

The Beta Omicron Chapter was funded through the Leilee P. Ault Research Fund in 1996 to support nursing research activities. Ms. Ault was a founding member and served as the first Beta Omicron president. She was dedicated during her many years at the Georgia Health Sciences University College of Nursing to mentoring students and faculty in achieving high levels of nursing scholarship. Members and officers solicit and welcome donations to the Leilee P. Ault fund to help achieve our noble mission.

Beta Omicron hosts two nursing scholar sessions a year and invites nationally known nurse leaders to speak at these and other chapter functions. Sessions are open to other nurses, health care professionals and interested community members. The chapter also provides assistance for members to conduct their research and present the findings at national research conferences.

Membership is an opportunity to provide service to the profession. Members are invited to work through local chapters to meet the purposes of Sigma Theta Tau and to foster their own professional development.
