How GHSU Faculty Utilize PULSE

 Common Tasks for Faculty

PULSE

 Login to PULSE

 

Step 1

From the GHSU home page http://www.georgiahealth.edu, click the Portal(MyMCG) link.

Step 2

On the Portal(MyMCG) page, click on the PULSE icon.

Step 3

From an email or documentation received from GHSU, enter your GHSU NetID in the text field labeled Username. Enter your  password in the text field labeled Password. Then click the button labeled Login.

Note: Your GHSU NetID and password are the same information that you use to access your emial and the Portal( MyMCG).  For assistance, please contact the Technology Service Desk.

Step 4

The first time you log in, read the Terms of Usage and click the Continue button.

 

 

 Learn Your Faculty ID Number (PULSE ID)

Step 1

If not already logged in, login to GHSU's PULSE using the instructions above.

Step 2

On the Main Menu, click the Faculty & Advisors link.

Step 3

On the Faculty Services menu, click the CRN Selection link.

Step 4

Look in the top right corner of the screen and you will see your PULSE ID which is also your Faculty ID Number.

 

 Display a Class List

 

Step 1

If not already logged in, login to GHSU's PULSE using the instructions above.

Step 2

On the Main Menu, click the Faculty & Advisors link.

Step 3

On the Faculty Services menu, click the CRN Selection link.

Step 4

Click to open the Select a Term pull-down and click on a term to select it.  Click the Submit button.

Step 5

Click to open the CRN pull-down and click the CRN to select it.  Click the Submit button.

Step 6

The Faculty Services menu will reappear after the CRN has been submitted.  Click the Detail Class List or the Summary Class List link.

Step 7

Review and/or print the Detail Class List or the Summary Class List.

Step 8

To see the roster for a different class, use the Back button and begin with Step 3 again or click the CRN Selection link at the bottom of the roster..

 

 View Student Information

Step 1

If not already logged in, login to GHSU's PULSE using the instructions above.

Step 2

On the Main Menu, click the Faculty & Advisors link.

Step 3

On the Faculty Services menu, click the Student Information Menu link.

Step 4

From the Student Information menu, click the ID Selection link.

Step 5

Either type the ID number of the student or advisee or the last name and the first name and click the Submit button.

Step 6

Click to open the Student or Advisee pull-down and click to select the student or advisee.  Click the Submit button.

Step 7

To view a student’s or advisee's program information, address/phone, or e-mail address, only the student/advisee needs to be specified. Both the student/advisee information and term will need to be specified  to see a schedule.

Step 8

Click the Back button to choose another student information link.

 

 Enter Grade Information

Step 1

If not already logged in, login to GHUS's PULSE using the instructions above.

Step 2

On the Main Menu, click the Faculty & Advisors link.

Step 3

On the Faculty Services menu, click on the Final Grades link.

Step 4

Select the CRN and click the Submit button.

Step 5

Click to open the Grade pull-down and click the grade made. Click the Submit button.

Step 6

Click the back button to select a different class to enter grades for or click the Exit link to log off.
