The Research Coordinators United in Excellence (RESCUE) group began in April 1993 with sixteen research coordinators. The group includes registered nurses, pharmacists, physicians, dentists, dental hygienists, certified clinical research coordinators, research assistants and administrative support staff.
Issues discussed in the meetings range from institutional processes and issues to new federal rules and regulations from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP).
The Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP) provides support for these meetings by facilitating the meetings, arranging speakers and providing logistics.
Meetings are bi-monthly on the third Friday at 12:30 p.m in the Moretz Library (BI 4080-4th floor of the hospital.) A reminder announcement will be posted in the GRU publications, GReport and GResearch Insider.
ALL RESCUE MEETINGS WILL RESUME IN JULY TO ALLOW OHRP TO FOCUS ON FORUMS AND MEET AND GREET OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN EACH COLLEGE AND MAJOR RESEARCH AREAS.
