Welcome to Postdoctoral Services

THE INTERNATIONAL AND POSTDOCTORAL SERVICES OFFICE (IPSO) SERVES TWO POPULATIONS VITAL TO THE MISSION OF GEORGIA REGENTS UNIVERSITY

Our Mission

International Services:    To support GRU departments and faculty in attracting and retaining high-caliber international personnel.

Postdoctoral Services:      To provide a central resource to facilitate, enhance and support the employment and work experiences of postdoctoral appointees, their faculty mentors, and staff engaged in research and research training.

Our Goals

International Services:    To provide GRU with an efficient and effective mechanism to recruit and retain alien personnel by facilitating the employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petition processes through the federal Department of Labor and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Postdoctoral Services:    To develop policies and practices which systematically incorporate postdoctoral appointment and education into the enterprise workforce by acting as an unbiased advocate in the evaluation of the interests of postdoctoral appointees, their faculty mentors, their departments/centers or institutes, and GRU as a whole.

Our Values

In all capacities, IPSO strives to serve the best interests of the GRU community by reducing bureaucratic burden, ensuring compliance and promoting fiscal responsibility.  The office adheres to four core values in the design and delivery of its services:

Customer Service
Professionalism
