Staff

Introduction

The Office of Residence Life is located on the second floor of the Student Center. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The staff has responsibility for residence hall matters including student welfare, staffing, programs, room assignment and policy formulation. The staff is composed of the Director of Residence Life, Office Specialist, and Community Assistants.  Staff may be contacted at (706) 721-2471.

 Central Office Staff

The central office staff consists of a full-time professional whose responsibility is to make residential living an enjoyable and educational experience for students. The Director of Residence Life has overall administrative responsibility for the housing operation. The Office Specialist assists with room assignments, off-campus housing, inventory control of room furnishings, and insures that the policies and procedures of office management are followed.

 Community Assistant Program

Community Assistants (CAs) are student leaders employed as a member of the Office of Residence Life staff.  The nine-month position responsibilities include assisting with advising, programming, security, administration, and general operation of the residence halls.  CAs promote student involvement by keeping residents informed of upcoming campus activities and by organizing social, recreational and educational programs within the residence halls. CAs are housed in Residences 4, 5, 6 and the Alumni Center.
