Transitional Care Program - Sports Medicine

The Wellness Center offers an extended line of health and wellness services.  Personal attention is provided to help you as you focus on healthy weight management, enhance fitness performance, or work toward optimal well-being through exercise and nutrition.

Equipment Orientation
Individual Session

The orientation provides proper instruction on all cardiovascular and cabled weight machines.  The session does not include exercise guidance or a program plan.

Fitness Assessments include the following evaluations:  Body Composition Analysis, Cardiovascular Capacity Test, Muscular Strength/Endurance Test, Flexibility Test.

The computerized analysis is a 60-second process with accurate and informative results.

 Nutritional Analysis

Individuals interested in receiving a nutrition analysis should contact Kristin Jaskulsky, RD at the Main Food and Nutrition Office at (706) 721-2586.  The nutritionist will perform a detailed nutrition assessment.  Dietary analysis with recommendations will be made based upon the individuals' fitness and wellness goals.

 

 Transitional Care Program - Sports Medicine

The transitional care program will be conducted at the GHSU Wellness Center by a certified athletic trainer from the GHSU Sports Medicine Center.  The program will provide additional rehabilitation or functional training to any physically active individual who has exhausted all approved visits at the GHSU Sports Medicine Center or is in need of additional strengthening.

Program participants must have written approval by a doctor or physical therapist in order to register.  Only individuals who previously received care from the Sports Medicine Center are eligible for the program.

Wellness Center members receive a 25% discount on any transitional care service.
